Gagan advises domestic and international businesses/ private clients on complex transactional issues pertaining to corporate, commercial, investment, infrastructure and real estate practice areas, in addition to appearing in contentious matters in the jurisdictional courts and tribunals. Gagan has particular interest and expertise in Acquisitions (domestic as well as cross border), Private Equity investments, Projects/Infrastructure, Franchising/ licencing and other commercial arrangements, Private International Law, Real Estate, Litigation (civil, commercial, criminal, international and constitutional matters) in the Indian sub-continent and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration (domestic as well as cross border) across the world.
In his earlier experience, Gagan was associated with the Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate and Technology law practice groups of India’s leading M &A and Tech Law practices and was involved in landmark domestic and cross border corporate and commercial transactions amongst other things. Gagan then moved to London and worked as Head of the International Law and Private Equity Practice Group at a leading international Indian law firm, and then moved back to India to add litigation experience under the able guidance of a leading designated Senior Advocate of the High Court of Karnataka, at Bangalore. He then founded Lawyers Transcontinental, where he works with associate lawyers to cater to client needs across practice areas in multiple jurisdictions.
Gagan has amongst other things, advised public and private corporations, conglomerates on Indian corporate and commercial law issues, exchange control regulations, domestic/international joint ventures, Government policies relating to foreign collaborations, mergers and acquisitions (including cross border acquisitions and acquisitions of public companies), infrastructure law etc.
Gagan has extensively advised global clientele on their investments across sectors in addition to advising real estate and construction sector clientele on the entire gamut of real estate work including civil, revenue and regulatory matters - contentious as well as non-contentious.Gagan works with a team of highly read, experienced and resourceful associate lawyers across practice areas across different jurisdictions. Gagan has also qualified with a Masters in Business Laws from the National Law School, India University, Bangalore. During the course of his education at Bangalore University, Gagan bagged two prestigious awards at the National level.Gagan is enrolled as an Advocate with the Karnataka State Bar Council,India.
Kaveri Thimmaiah

Kaveri is a Deputy head of the practice and head the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Groups at Lawyers Transcontinental. Kaveri graduated from J.S.S Law College, University of Mysore in 2008. She had secured First Rank in B.A.L as well as in LL.B course, out of the ten ranks declared by the University. Kaveri is a litigator and specialises in the area of Civil Law. She concentrates her practice on matters pertaining to money recovery, specific performance, partition, possession, eviction, execution petitions, injunction actions and obtaining probate/succession certificate. She also handles cases before the Consumer Courts, Medical Council, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal.
Kaveri also handles family disputes, divorce petitions, court recommended mediation, custody related issues and has been involved in pre-litigation mediation as well. She also handles criminal cases pertaining to domestic violence and other allied cases instituted under the Indian Penal Code. Kaveri has experience in handling Corporate Litigation having dealt with company petitions for winding up and Schemes of arrangement and amalgamation and has also appeared in matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. She has handled Arbitration matters. She also handles petitions and appeals in the High Court. Kaveri is enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Karnataka.
